Job Description
Job Summary:We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Fitter responsible for installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery used in RDF (Refuse Derived Fuel) processing plants. The candidate will ensure smooth plant operations by minimizing breakdowns and maintaining equipment efficiency.
- Key Responsibilities:Perform routine maintenance of RDF plant machinery such as:
- Shredders
- Trommel screens
- Conveyors & belt systems
- Air classifiers
- Feeders & crushers
- Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs promptly
- Ensure proper alignment, lubrication, and fitting of mechanical components
- Assist in installation and commissioning of new machinery
- Maintain breakdown records and preventive maintenance schedules
- Monitor machine performance and suggest improvements
- Ensure safe working practices and compliance with plant safety norms
- Coordinate with electrical and operations teams for smooth functioning
- Maintain housekeeping and ensure tools are properly managed
- Required Skills:Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and rotating equipment
- Hands-on experience in welding, fitting, and fabrication work
- Understanding of bearings, gearboxes, motors, and hydraulics
- Ability to read basic mechanical drawings
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance
