Chassis Driver

Key Responsibilities

 Operate chassis trucks safely and efficiently to transport containers and cargo between

ports, warehouses, customer locations, and distribution centers.

 Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any defects or maintenance

requirements.

 Ensure cargo is properly secured and transported in accordance with safety regulations.

 Follow designated routes and delivery schedules to meet operational requirements.

 Maintain accurate records of trips, fuel consumption, mileage, and delivery documentation.

 Comply with all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures.

 Coordinate with dispatchers, warehouse personnel, and customers regarding pickups and

deliveries.

 Report accidents, delays, breakdowns, or any operational issues promptly to management.

 Keep the vehicle clean and ensure routine maintenance schedules are adhered to.

 Assist in loading and unloading activities when required.

Required Qualifications

 Minimum 10th Pass or equivalent.

 Valid Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) Driving License.

 Relevant experience in driving chassis trucks, trailers, or container vehicles.

 Good understanding of road safety regulations and transport documentation.

 Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.

Preferred Skills

 Familiarity with port operations and container transportation.

 Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays if required.

 Good communication and coordination skills.

 Strong commitment to safety and compliance.

Experience

 2–3 years of experience in container, trailer, or chassis vehicle operations preferred.
