Finance Director / Chief Finance Officer (Client of Mahaa Shakti Consulting)

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) / Managing Director

Job Summary:

The Finance Director is responsible for overseeing the financial health of the organization by managing financial planning, budgeting, reporting, cash flow, compliance, and strategic financial decision-making. The role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and business acumen to support sustainable growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Strategy & Planning

• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.

Financial Management

• Oversee day-to-day finance and accounting operations.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity requirements.
• Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Budgeting & Reporting

• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Analyse variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Present financial reports and performance metrics to management and the Board.

Compliance & Controls

• Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations, tax laws, and company policies.
• Maintain robust internal controls and risk management processes.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.

Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team.
• Establish performance goals and drive continuous improvement within the department.
• Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Business Partnering

• Support business units in financial analysis and decision-making.
• Evaluate investment opportunities, business expansions, and cost optimization initiatives.
• Participate in strategic projects, mergers, acquisitions, or fundraising activities, as required.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• Minimum 10–15 years of experience in finance, accounting, budgeting, and financial management.
• At least 5 years of experience in a senior finance leadership role.
• Strong understanding and hands-on experience in Odoo ERP.
• Proficiency in financial reporting, accounting standards, MIS budgeting, and statutory compliances.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and other tools.
• Preferred experience in managing accounting in Polymer Manufacturing environment.
• Ability to streamline financial processes through effective utilization of Odoo ERP.
