Electrical R&D Engineer

About the Role: Medox Biotech India P. Ltd. is seeking a hands-on Electrical Engineer to join our R&D team in Chennai. You will be directly involved in the design, prototyping, and continuous improvement of the electrical components for our laboratory instruments, such as electrophoresis units and gel documentation systems. We are looking for someone who enjoys hands-on electrical work and is eager to build and refine physical products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, prototype, test, and troubleshoot Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) for our lab instruments.
• Perform high-quality, precision soldering for through-hole and surface-mount components.
• Assemble, wire, and test electrical systems and prototypes for new and existing product lines.
• Work closely with the core team to execute R&D projects aimed at upgrading our current hardware.
• Identify and resolve electrical or electronic issues in existing product designs.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication, or a related technical field.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with PCB design software and practical soldering.
• Strong understanding of fundamental electrical components, circuits, and testing tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.).
• A problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently on R&D tasks.
