Senior Quality Engineer – Manufacturing

• Quality Management Systems (QMS): Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100, or other industry-specific standards.

• Process Audits: Lead internal and supplier audits, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented.

• Inspection & Testing: Oversee first article inspections, APQP, PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), and final product validation.

• Root Cause Analysis: Drive problem-solving initiatives using tools like 8D, FMEA, and Six Sigma methodologies.

• Supplier Quality: Collaborate with vendors to maintain incoming material quality and resolve non-conformances.

• Continuous Improvement: Implement lean manufacturing practices to reduce defects and improve efficiency.

• Documentation: Maintain quality records, inspection reports, and compliance documentation.

• Leadership: Mentor junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of quality across the organization.

Required Skills & Qualifications • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.

• Experience: 5+ years in quality engineering within manufacturing (automotive, aerospace, medical devices, or heavy industry preferred).

• Technical Knowledge: GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) , Statistical Process Control (SPC) , Measurement tools (CMM, calipers, micrometers)

• Certifications: Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) preferred.

• Soft Skills: Strong analytical ability, leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration. Performance Metrics • Reduction in defect rates and scrap.
