We are looking for an experienced Plant / Factory Manager who can independently manage factory operations, production, product development, and process improvements while ensuring timely delivery and world-class quality.

Role SummaryThe Plant / Factory Manager will be responsible for the complete manufacturing operations of the factory, including production planning, engineering, product development, quality control, inventory coordination, manpower management, and continuous process improvement.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in machinery manufacturing and be capable of independently driving the factory with minimal supervision.

• Key ResponsibilitiesFactory OperationsIndependently manage day-to-day factory operations.
• Ensure smooth coordination between Production, Purchase, Store, Quality, and Dispatch.
• Maximize factory productivity while maintaining quality standards.
• Monitor overall plant performance and implement operational improvements.
• Production Planning & ControlPrepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans.
• Ensure machines are manufactured and dispatched within committed timelines.
• Monitor production schedules and eliminate bottlenecks.
• Improve productivity through better planning and resource utilization.
• Product Design & DevelopmentDevelop new machinery and improve existing products.
• Prepare manufacturing drawings and production BOMs.
• Optimize machine design for better performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Coordinate with customers and management for customized machine development.
• Engineering & Technical LeadershipLead fabrication, machining, assembly, electrical, and refrigeration teams.
• Solve technical challenges during manufacturing.
• Standardize manufacturing processes and documentation.
• Introduce new manufacturing techniques and quality standards.
• Quality ManagementEnsure adherence to quality standards at every production stage.
• Monitor welding quality, assembly quality, and machine performance testing.
• Reduce rework and improve first-pass quality.
• Develop and implement SOPs and quality checklists.
• Purchase & Inventory CoordinationCoordinate material planning with the Purchase and Store departments.
• Ensure timely availability of raw materials and bought-out components.
• Monitor inventory levels and reduce material shortages.
• Team ManagementLead and motivate production staff.
• Allocate work efficiently among departments.
• Train employees and improve technical skills.
• Build a disciplined, accountable, and performance-driven work culture.
• Continuous ImprovementReduce manufacturing costs and production time.
• Improve productivity through process optimization.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing and 5S practices wherever applicable.
• Drive innovation in manufacturing and product development.
• Required QualificationsB.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering.
• Minimum 8–12 years of experience in manufacturing machinery or industrial equipment.
• Experience in food processing, dairy machinery, refrigeration equipment, or stainless-steel fabrication will be preferred.
