Retail Store Auditor

Job Summary:

The Store Auditor is responsible for conducting audits across retail stores to ensure compliance with company policies, inventory accuracy, cash management procedures, operational standards, and loss prevention controls. The role involves frequent store visits, identifying operational gaps, recommending corrective actions, and ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Key Responsibilities:

• Store Audit & Compliance Conduct periodic and surprise audits across retail stores.
• Verify compliance with company policies, SOPs, and operational guidelines.
• Ensure adherence to billing, cash handling, inventory, and stock management procedures.
• Identify policy violations, operational lapses, and process gaps.

Inventory & Stock Verification:

• Perform physical stock audits and reconcile with system inventory.
• Verify inward and outward stock movements.
• Investigate stock shortages, excesses, and discrepancies.
• Monitor aged stock and damaged stock management.

Cash & Financial Controls:

• Verify daily cash collections and bank deposit records.
• Audit POS transactions, discounts, returns, exchanges, and credit sales.
• Identify instances of revenue leakage, fraud, or misuse of company assets.
• Ensure compliance with financial control procedures.

Operational Audits:

• Review store opening and closing procedures.
• Verify staff attendance, uniforms, grooming, and compliance with company standards.
• Audit store maintenance, housekeeping, VM standards, and customer service practices.
• Ensure proper display and pricing of merchandise.

Reporting & Corrective Actions:

• Prepare detailed audit reports highlighting observations and risk areas.
• Recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Follow up on audit findings and ensure timely closure.
• Present audit findings to management periodically.

Loss Prevention:

• Identify risks related to inventory shrinkage, theft, pilferage, and fraud.
• Recommend measures to minimize losses and improve controls.
• Conduct investigations whenever discrepancies are identified.

Eligibility Criteria:

• EducationBachelor's Degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Telugu Speaking Mandatory.
• Selected candidates willing to travel across the stores AP, TG and Karnataka states
• Immediate Joiners Preferred
• Age should not cross 30 years maximum
• Good Communication and Pleasant Personality required.
