Fine Arts Artist - Tanjore Painting Drawing Teacher

We are seeking a talented and passionate Fine Arts graduate with expertise in traditional Tanjore (Thanjavur) painting to join our creative team. The ideal candidate should have strong artistic skills, a deep understanding of traditional techniques, and the ability to create high-quality handcrafted Tanjore paintings while maintaining authenticity and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Create traditional and contemporary Tanjore paintings using authentic techniques.
• Prepare wooden panels, apply cloth, chalk paste (gesso), embossing work, and gold foil.
• Paint deities, portraits, and customized artwork with precision and artistic excellence.
• Ensure high standards of craftsmanship, finishing, and quality control.
• Restore and touch up existing Tanjore paintings when required.
• Collaborate with the design and production teams to meet customer specifications and deadlines.
• Maintain proper care of art materials, tools, and the studio workspace.
• Research and incorporate traditional motifs while exploring innovative design concepts.
• Required Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Fine Arts (BFA/MFA) or Diploma in Fine Arts.
• Specialization or hands-on experience in Tanjore painting.
• Strong knowledge of traditional Tanjore painting techniques, materials, and finishing methods.
• Excellent drawing, sketching, color composition, and detailing skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Strong time management and commitment to quality.
• Preferred SkillsExperience in gold foil application and embossed relief work.
• Knowledge of traditional South Indian art forms and iconography.
• Creativity in developing customized and contemporary Tanjore artworks.
• Familiarity with portrait painting is an added advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• ExperienceFreshers with a strong portfolio in Tanjore painting are encouraged to apply.
• 1–5 years of professional experience in Tanjore painting or related fine arts is preferred.

Portfolio RequirementApplicants must submit:
