Job Description
- Key ResponsibilitiesManage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities.
- Prepare and review financial statements, management accounts, and reports.
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain general ledger entries.
- Assist in VAT returns, tax filings, and compliance with UK financial regulations.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Monitor cash flow and financial transactions.
- Coordinate with auditors, clients, and internal departments.
- Ensure accuracy and timely completion of accounting records.
- Train and guide junior accounting staff when required.
- Required Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.
- 3–6 years of experience in accounting, preferably handling UK accounts.
- Knowledge of UK accounting standards, VAT, and taxation.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar.
- Strong understanding of MS Excel and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Preferred QualificationsACCA (Part Qualified/Qualified) or equivalent certification.
- Experience working with UK clients or in an outsourcing/KPO environment.
