Job Description

  • Preparing the dental operatory before each patient.
  • Sterilizing and arranging dental instruments.
  • Assisting the dentist during procedures by passing instruments and using suction.
  • Taking and developing dental X-rays (where permitted and trained).
  • Mixing dental materials such as impression material and cement.
  • Preparing patients for treatment and explaining basic post-treatment instructions.
  • Maintaining patient records and appointment schedules.
  • Cleaning and disinfecting treatment rooms after each patient.
  • Managing inventory of dental supplies and ordering materials when needed.
  • Following infection control and sterilization protocols.
