Accountant

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to manage the financial operations of our retail clothing store. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing daily accounting activities, managing inventory-related accounting, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with tax and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update accounting records, ledgers, and financial statements.
• Handle daily bookkeeping, cash reconciliation, and bank reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Track inventory valuation and reconcile stock records with accounting data.
• Process vendor payments and maintain supplier accounts.
• Calculate and file GST,TDS and other applicable tax returns.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations for cost control and profitability improvement.
• Support payroll processing and employee reimbursement management.
