Cnc Laser Cutting Operator

Role Overview:

Operate and maintain high-power fiber laser cutting machines to produce precise sheet metal components (SS - up to 35mm, MS - up to 40mm).

Ensure high-quality cuts, optimal material utilization, minimum waste and adherence to safety & production targets in a fast-growing Company.

Key Responsibilities (KRA):

• Set up, load/unload, and operate CNC fiber laser cutting machines efficiently.
• Follow production schedules to meet daily/weekly targets.
• Monitor cutting process in real-time and make minor parameter adjustments for best quality.
• Load and verify CNC programs; assist in basic nesting for optimal sheet utilization.
• Inspect cut parts for dimensional accuracy, edge quality, and defects.
• Measure components using calipers, micrometers, and other tools.
• Maintain rejection rate below target (<3–5%).
• Perform daily cleaning, lens/nozzle checks, and basic preventive maintenance.
• Report major issues to maintenance team promptly.
• Strictly follow all safety protocols (Machine guarding, laser safety, fume extraction).
• Maintain production logs, material consumption, and downtime records.
• Suggest improvements for better efficiency, reduced scrap, or faster setup.
• Support 5S implementation in the laser section.
• Coordinate with programmers, fabricators, and supervisors for smooth workflow.
• Train junior operators when required.

Qualifications & Skills:

• 3+ years hands-on experience operating fiber laser cutting machines.
• Knowledge of laser parameters for different metals/thicknesses.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and use precision measuring instruments.
