Job Description
We are developing multiple mobile applications (an OTT/streaming app, a community app, and a client-connect app) through an external development partner. We are
looking for a QA Engineer who will verify delivered features against requirements, identify bugs, and coordinate with the development vendor to ensure timely, quality-checked delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and understand feature requirements; prepare test cases and checklists.
- Perform functional, UI, and regression testing of delivered features across Android & iOS.
- Test OTT-specific flows: video playback, streaming, subscriptions/payments, login.
- Log and track bugs with clear steps using Jira/Trello/ClickUp.
- Follow up with the development vendor and track issues till resolution.
- Re-test and verify fixes; provide release readiness (sign-off) reports.
- Test across multiple devices, OS versions, and screen sizes.
- Share weekly QA and delivery-quality reports with management.
Required Skills:
- 2–4 years of hands-on mobile/web app testing experience.
- Strong knowledge of manual testing, test case writing, and bug life cycle.
- Experience with bug-tracking tools (Jira/Trello/ClickUp).
- Familiarity with API testing (Postman) and basic understanding of databases is a plus.
- Good communication and follow-up skills to coordinate with external vendors.
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership.
Good to Have:
- Experience testing OTT/streaming, community/social, or payment-based apps.
- Knowledge of automation testing (Appium/Selenium).
