Senior Accountant

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage the company’s accounting, taxation, compliance, inventory accounting, and export documentation processes. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of manufacturing accounting, GST, TDS, export billing procedures, and coordination with Customs House Agents (CHA), freight forwarders, and government authorities.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Finance

• Maintain books of accounts in Tally/ERP.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
• Perform bank reconciliations and cash flow management.
• Monitor inventory valuation and manufacturing cost accounting.
• Analyze profitability, margins, and product-wise costing.

Taxation & Compliance

• Ensure timely filing of GST returns, TDS returns, and other statutory compliances.
• Reconcile GST data with books and government portals.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
• Ensure compliance with Companies Act and financial regulations.

Export Documentation & Billing

• Prepare and verify export invoices, packing lists, and shipping documents.
• Generate Proforma Invoices, Commercial Invoices, and Purchase Order documentation.
• Understand FOB, CIF, CNF, and Ex-Works pricing structures.
• Coordinate export payments, LC documentation, and bank submissions.
• Maintain export records and ensure compliance with export regulations.

CHA & Logistics Coordination

• Coordinate with Customs House Agents (CHA), freight forwarders, shipping lines, and transporters.
• Monitor customs clearance, shipping schedules, and export dispatches.
• Verify Bill of Lading (BL), Shipping Bills, EGM, and related export documents.
• Track container movement and shipment status.
• Coordinate with APEDA, Spice Board, FSSAI, and other export-related authorities as required.

MIS & Reporting

• Prepare monthly MIS reports for management.
• Monitor receivables, payables, inventory, and working capital.
• Provide financial insights to support business decisions.
• Develop and maintain internal controls and SOPs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (B.Com), M.Com, CA Inter, CMA, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting and finance.
• Experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, export, or trading companies preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Tally Prime, MS Excel, GST, TDS, and export documentation.
• Familiarity with APEDA, IEC, FSSAI, and export procedures will be an added advantage.
