JOB DESCRIPTION FOR DESIGN COORDINATOR/INTERIR DESIGN

Key Responsibilities

1. Design Development & Concept Creation

• Lead the development of interior design concepts for hotels, commercial spaces, and luxury residences.
• Produce mood boards, visual presentations, and space layouts to showcase design intent.
• Ensure aesthetic coherence and functionality in all design proposals.

2. Project Coordination & Execution

• Collaborate with senior designers, architects, and project managers to align design elements with project objectives.
• Coordinate with procurement, construction, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution.
• Maintain strict adherence to budget constraints and project timelines.

3. Material & Product Selection

• Lead the selection of FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment), ensuring compatibility with design vision.
• Prepare sample boards and detailed presentations for internal teams and client approvals.

4. Client & Stakeholder Interaction

• Conduct design discussions with clients and stakeholders to capture preferences and expectations.
• Present and defend design ideas, integrating feedback into final concepts.

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain detailed records of design progress, including technical drawings and specifications.
• Assist in preparing project reports, tracking budgets, and managing timelines.

6. Vendor & Supplier Coordination

• Negotiate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely material delivery and maintain quality standards.
• Monitor cost-efficiency and quality control during the procurement phase.

7. Design Implementation & Site Management

• Oversee the installation and execution of design plans on-site.
• Work closely with contractors and site managers to ensure project alignment.

8. Compliance & Industry Standards

• Ensure adherence to brand standards, building codes, and industry regulations.
• Stay updated on market trends, innovative materials, and emerging design techniques.
