Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management
- Keep proper records of raw materials, packaging materials, chemicals, consumables, and finished goods.
- Ensure materials are received, stored, and issued correctly as per company procedures.
- Monitor stock levels and maintain minimum and maximum stock requirements.
- Conduct regular stock checks on a daily, monthly, and yearly basis.
Material Receipt & Dispatch
- Check incoming materials against Purchase Orders (POs), Delivery Challans, and Invoices.
- Ensure proper unloading, inspection, and storage of materials.
- Coordinate the dispatch of finished goods as per delivery schedules.
- Prepare and maintain all dispatch-related documents and records.
Store Operations
- Arrange materials properly and maintain clear identification and storage locations.
- Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) methods wherever applicable.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and proper housekeeping in the godown.
- Prevent material damage, wastage, theft, and stock losses.
Production Coordination
- Issue materials to production departments against approved requisitions.
- Ensure materials are available on time to avoid production delays.
- Coordinate with the Production, Purchase, and Planning teams for material requirements.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain stock registers, inward and outward records, and inventory reports.
- Update ERP systems and Excel records accurately on a daily basis.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock and inventory reports.
- Provide necessary documents and records during internal and external audits.
Team Management
- Supervise store assistants, loaders, and warehouse staff.
- Assign work and monitor the performance of the team.
- Ensure all team members follow company policies and safety guidelines.
Desired Skills
- Good knowledge of store and warehouse management.
- Understanding of inventory control, stock reconciliation, and material handling.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and ERP software.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
Educational Qualification
- Graduate in any discipline.
- Diploma or certification in Store Management, Inventory Management, or Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage.
Preferred Experience
- Candidates with experience in Footwear Manufacturing, Rubber, Leather, FMCG, or any Manufacturing Industry will be preferred.
