Job SummaryThe EOT Crane Operator is responsible for operating the Electric Overhead Traveling (EOT) Crane safely and efficiently for lifting, moving, loading, unloading, and positioning materials within the plant premises while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

• Key ResponsibilitiesOperate the EOT crane for handling raw materials, finished goods, machinery, and other heavy loads.
• Inspect the crane, wire ropes, hooks, brakes, limit switches, and other components before starting work.
• Ensure proper lifting techniques and use suitable lifting accessories such as slings, shackles, and clamps.
• Follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines during crane operations.
• Coordinate with supervisors, riggers, and ground personnel for safe material movement.
• Report any mechanical defects, damages, or abnormal conditions to the maintenance department immediately.
• Maintain records of daily crane inspections and operational activities.
• Keep the crane cabin and working area clean and organized.
• Avoid overloading and ensure that the load does not exceed the crane's rated capacity.
• Assist in routine maintenance activities whenever required.
• Required Qualifications Minimum GRDUATE / ITI or equivalent qualification.
• Valid EOT Crane Operator certification/license (if applicable as per local regulations).
• Basic knowledge of crane safety standards and material handling practices.
• Ability to read load charts and understand lifting signals.
• Experience 5–7 years of experience operating EOT cranes in manufacturing, steel, engineering, or fabrication industries.
• Skills RequiredGood understanding of crane controls and safety devices.
• Knowledge of rigging practices and lifting equipment.
• Attention to detail and safety consciousness.
• Ability to work in shifts and under production schedules.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Working ConditionsWorking in manufacturing plants, warehouses, or fabrication shops.
• Exposure to noise, dust, heat, and heavy materials.
• Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as helmet, safety shoes, gloves, and reflective jackets is mandatory.

Knowledge Required: Basic knowledge of industrial products and material handling operations.
