Job Description
Job Summary
The Senior New Product Development Executive is responsible for identifying, developing, and launching new products for Indian Art Villa across all channels. The role operates across three pillars — Market-Driven, AI-Predicted, and Exclusive/IAV-Owned products — and owns the full product pipeline from idea to MD approval.
Key Responsibilities
• Introduce a minimum of 1 new MD-approved product every month.
• Develop a minimum of 1 exclusive product every quarter.
• Maintain a live product pipeline of 5 in evaluation, 3 in development, and 2 in sampling at all times.
• Submit a monthly AI-powered market trend report identifying new product opportunities.
• Build a minimum of 2 new manufacturer partnerships every quarter.
• Own premium packaging development for all new product launches.
• Conduct regular market visits and factory visits to identify sourcing and product opportunities.
• Coordinate with the vendor development and procurement team on new product sourcing.
• Present new product proposals to the MD with full costing and market rationale.
Requirements
• 5–8 years of experience in product development, sourcing, or category management.
• Strong understanding of Indian handicraft, home goods, or export product categories.
• Ability to use AI tools for market research and trend analysis.
• Experience with packaging design and premium product presentation.
• Willingness to travel for market and factory visits.
