Video Editor – Children's YouTube Channel (Long-Form & Shorts)

About the RoleWe are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our growing children's YouTube channel. You'll transform scripts, voiceovers, animations, illustrations, and sound effects into engaging, high-quality videos that entertain and educate young audiences.

This is an opportunity to help build a new channel from the ground up and contribute to creating memorable, family-friendly content.

• Key ResponsibilitiesEdit children's story videos for YouTube (5–15 minutes).
• Create engaging YouTube Shorts from long-form content.
• Add music, sound effects, transitions, captions, and visual effects.
• Sync voiceovers with animations, illustrations, or AI-generated visuals.
• Maintain a fun, colorful, and age-appropriate editing style.
• Optimize pacing and storytelling to maximize audience retention.
• Create clean intros, outros, and end screens.
• Collaborate with writers, illustrators, and the channel owner.
• Ensure all content is copyright-compliant.
• Required SkillsStrong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or similar software.
• Experience editing content for YouTube.
• Good sense of pacing, storytelling, and visual composition.
• Ability to source or work with royalty-free music and sound effects.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Preferred QualificationsExperience editing children's or educational content.

• Familiarity with AI tools for video creation and editing.
• Basic motion graphics skills (After Effects or similar).
• Experience creating YouTube thumbnails is a plus.
• Understanding of YouTube audience retention and best practices.
• Deliverables2–4 long-form videos per week.
• Multiple YouTube Shorts derived from each long-form video.
• Revisions based on feedback.
• Organized project files.
