Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and proactive IT Support Executive to manage, maintain, and troubleshoot our company’s IT infrastructure.
In this role, you will be responsible for resolving hardware, software, and network issues for our team, setting up new workstations, and ensuring maximum system uptime and security. The ideal candidate will have strong technical troubleshooting skills, a solid understanding of computer networks, and a helpful, customer-service-oriented attitude.
- Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Support: Provide day-to-day desktop, software, and hardware support to all internal team members (both in-person and remote).
- System Setup & Installation: Configure, install, and upgrade computer hardware, operating systems (Windows/macOS/Linux), and standard business software.
- Network Maintenance: Monitor and maintain local network infrastructure, including routers, switches, Wi-Fi access points, and internet connectivity.
- Data Security & Backups: Enforce data security policies, manage antivirus software, and ensure regular, secure data backups of critical business systems.
- User Management: Manage user accounts, permissions, and email setups (e.g., Google Workspace/Microsoft 365, active directory).
- Asset Management: Maintain a detailed inventory of all hardware, software licenses, network accessories, and IT equipment.
- Vendor Liaison: Coordinate with external ISPs, hardware vendors, and service providers for quick resolution of internet outages or equipment repairs.
- Skills and QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (BCA/B.Tech/B.Sc IT), or a Diploma in Hardware & Networking.
- Experience: [Insert Number, e.g., 1-3 years] of experience in an IT Support, Helpdesk, or System Administrator role.
- Technical Skills:
- Deep understanding of Windows/Mac OS, basic networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and VPNs.
- Familiarity with office administration suites (Google Workspace, Office 365).
- Basic knowledge of firewall configurations and server maintenance is a plus.
- Certifications: CCNA, CompTIA A+, or Microsoft certifications are highly preferred.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving skills, patience, and excellent communication skills to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
