Sales Engineer – HVAC Industry

Job Title: Sales Engineer Location:Pune

Department: Sales & Business Development

Experience: 1–6 Years (Preferred)

Job SummaryWe are looking for a motivated and technically proficient Sales Engineer to drive business growth in the HVAC sector. The role involves identifying new business opportunities, developing customer relationships, understanding client requirements, preparing technical and commercial proposals, and achieving sales targets. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of HVAC systems and excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify and develop new business opportunities in commercial, industrial, and residential HVAC markets.
  • Generate leads through consultants, contractors, builders, architects, MEP consultants, and direct customers.
  • Conduct customer meetings to understand project requirements and recommend suitable HVAC solutions.
  • Prepare technical presentations, quotations, BOQs, and commercial proposals.
  • Coordinate with the design and engineering teams to ensure accurate system selection and project costing.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms with customers.
  • Follow up on submitted quotations and convert inquiries into orders.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing customers to generate repeat business.
  • Track market trends, competitor activities, and upcoming projects.
  • Collaborate with project execution and service teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
  • Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 1–6 years of experience in HVAC sales, MEP sales, or industrial equipment sales.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC products, including:

  • Chillers
  • VRF/VRV Systems
  • AHUs
  • FCUs
  • Ventilation Systems
  • Ducting
  • Air Conditioning Equipment
  • Ability to read HVAC drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
  • Valid driving license (if field sales is required).
