Job Description
Job SummaryThe Performance Specialist will be responsible for managing day-to-day fleet operations, handling inbound and outbound driver communications, tracking vehicle performance, and coordinating with internal teams and aggregator partners. The role serves as the primary point of contact for drivers, ensuring timely resolution of concerns, improved engagement, and enhanced fleet performance.
Key Responsibilities
Fleet & Driver Management
- Proactively engage with absent, inactive, or low-performing drivers through structured follow-ups to understand issues and improve performance.
- Address driver concerns related to payments, incentives, trips, and performance.
- Maintain accurate driver and vehicle records in internal trackers.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day fleet operations and driver engagement.
- Conduct high-volume inbound and outbound calls with drivers regarding attendance, trip performance, payments, incentives, and operational issues.
- Act as the first point of contact for driver queries, concerns, and escalations.
- Build strong driver relationships through regular follow-ups and engagement activities.
Payments & Collections
- Ensure timely collection of driver payments such as weekly rentals, deposits, or dues as per company policy.
- Track outstanding payments and follow up with drivers for pending collections.
- Escalate chronic delays or payment issues to management for corrective action.
- Maintain clear records of collections and share periodic payment status reports.
Performance Monitoring
- Track daily and weekly vehicle performance (trips, earnings, utilization).
- Identify inactive or underperforming vehicles and take corrective action.
- Share performance insights and reports with the management team.
- Support churn control and driver retention initiatives.
Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with sourcing, performance, finance, and compliance teams.
- Liaise with aggregator partner Uber for operational issues.
- Escalate critical issues related to fare, demand, compliance, or driver behavior.
- Participate in daily huddles and review meetings.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare daily EOD (End of Day) reports.
- Update attendance, vehicle status, and driver activity trackers.
- Ensure operational data is accurate and up to date.
- Support audits and internal reviews when required.
Eligibility & Skills
- Graduate in any discipline (Degree Not mandatory).
- 0–2 years of experience in fleet operations, operations, or coordination.
- Good communication skills in the local language and basic English.
- Comfortable with calling drivers and handling escalations.
- Basic knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets
- Mandatory experience in inbound and outbound calling/customer support/tele-calling roles.
- Strong verbal communication and relationship management skills.
- Ability to handle a high volume of driver interactions and resolve concerns effectively.
- Experience in fleet operations, driver support, customer service, BPO, or tele-calling is preferred.
- Preferred Skills
- Experience with ride-hailing fleets (Uber/Rapido/Ola).
- Strong follow-up and coordination skills.
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to handle pressure.
- Understanding of driver incentives and performance metrics.
- Experience handling inbound and outbound calls in a fleet, logistics, transportation, BPO, or customer service environment.
- Strong negotiation, persuasion, and conflict-resolution skills.
