Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Vertical Machining Center (VMC) machines efficiently and safely.
- Load and unload workpieces and ensure proper machine setup.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and job specifications.
- Perform tool setting, tool offset adjustments, and basic machine troubleshooting.
- Inspect machined components using measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
- Maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finish as per quality standards.
- Record production data and report any machine or quality issues to the supervisor.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain 5S standards in the work area.
- RequirementsITI/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- 1–5 years of experience operating VMC machines.
- Knowledge of engineering drawings and measuring instruments.
- Basic understanding of tooling, machining processes, and machine maintenance.
- Ability to work in shifts and as part of a team.
