Purchase Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee end-to-end procurement activities in alignment with organizational requirements.
• Develop procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective and timely purchasing.
• Identify, evaluate, and finalize vendors/suppliers based on quality, reliability, and pricing.
• Lead price negotiations, contract finalization, and long-term vendor agreements.
• Approve purchase orders (POs), verify invoices, and monitor payment cycles.
• Ensure optimal inventory levels by coordinating closely with warehouse and store departments.
• Resolve vendor issues, delivery delays, or discrepancies promptly.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Accounts, Logistics, Projects, Store, etc.) to ensure seamless operations.
• Monitor procurement budgets and implement cost-control measures.
• Review market trends, pricing shifts, and supplier performance for strategic decision-making.
• Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, savings, vendor evaluations, and risks.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
• 4-8 years of experience in procurement or purchase management, preferably in government supply or project-based industries.
• Strong knowledge of vendor management, procurement processes, and compliance norms.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel) and experience with ERP software.
• Excellent negotiation, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to handle high-value purchases, multitask, and manage time-sensitive procurements.
