Job Summary :
We are seeking a detail-oriented Software Tester to evaluate software applications and ensure they meet quality standards before release. The Software Tester will be responsible for identifying bugs, documenting issues, executing test cases, and collaborating with developers and product teams to deliver reliable, high-quality software products.
Key Responsibilities :
- Review software requirements and technical specifications.
- Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Perform manual and/or automated testing of software applications.
- Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools.
- Verify bug fixes and conduct regression testing.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project managers to resolve issues.
- Perform functional, integration, system, usability, and performance testing.
- Ensure software complies with quality standards and user requirements.
- Prepare test reports and provide feedback on software quality.
- Participate in requirement reviews and quality assurance processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of software testing methodologies and QA processes.
- Experience with bug-tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Bugzilla).
- Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium.
- Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman.
- Familiarity with SQL and database testing.
- ISTQB or other QA certifications.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development environments.
