Job Overview

KBC Pharma is seeking an experienced Female Purchase Manager to lead our procurement and sourcing activities at our Thane facility. The ideal candidate must have a robust background in pharmaceutical manufacturing, with proven expertise in sourcing raw materials, active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), packaging materials, and engineering equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Material Procurement: Source and procure APIs, excipients, chemicals, and primary/secondary packaging materials.
• Vendor Management: Evaluate, onboard, and maintain relationships with reliable suppliers and manufacturers.
• Price Negotiation: Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, and credit cycles to optimize procurement costs.
• Compliance & Audits: Ensure all procured materials comply with FDA, GMP, and other pharma regulatory standards.
• Inventory Control: Coordinate with stores and production teams to maintain optimum inventory levels and avoid stockouts.
• PO Management: Oversee the generation of Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Market Analysis: Track global commodity prices, supply trends, and lead times to make strategic buying decisions.

Requirements

• Education: Degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm), Chemistry, or a Graduate with a Diploma in Supply Chain/Materials Management.
• Experience: 5–10 years of procurement experience specifically within Pharma Manufacturing.
• Skills: Strong negotiation skills, vendor assessment expertise, and familiarity with pharma ERP systems.
• Location: Preference for candidates residing in or near Thane.
