Job Description

  • Monitoring
  • CCTV operators monitor security cameras and surveillance systems to detect suspicious activity and critical security events. 
  • Recording
  • CCTV operators record events, incidents, and actions in a clear and accurate manner. 
  • Reporting
  • CCTV operators report suspicious activity to security staff or the police. They also keep a log of all incidents to pass onto the police. 
  • Maintaining equipment
  • CCTV operators ensure that all camera systems are functioning properly and are in good condition. 
  • Communicating
  • CCTV operators communicate with guards on the premises and direct them when necessary. 
  • Preparing reports
  • CCTV operators prepare reports and presentations on any improvements or adjustments needed to the safety of the facility.
