Job Description
Looking for A Quality Assurance & CAD/CAM Inspector role bridges design accuracy with manufacturing excellence. This professional verifies that physical outputs align exactly with digital schematics, ensuring part precision, assessing manufacturing feasibility, and preventing defects. [1, 2, 3]
Key Responsibilities
- Drawing & Model Verification: Review 2D drawings and CAD models against engineering standards, customer specifications, and critical-to-quality (CTQ) dimensions.
- Programming & Manufacturing Checks: Simulate and check toolpaths in CAM software to optimize machining processes, ensure correct tooling parameters, and prevent gouging or collisions.
- Dimensional Inspection: Measure manufactured parts using precision instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers) and automated systems like CMM to verify GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) compliance.
- Defect Analysis & Reporting: Document non-conformances, conduct root-cause analysis, and initiate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Process Collaboration: Coordinate with engineering and production teams to resolve design conflicts, update 2D drafting changes, and improve overall manufacturability
