Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Job Title: Maintenance Engineer – Electrical (Injection Moulding)

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer with a strong electrical background and prior experience in Injection Moulding machinery maintenance. Experience in extrusion machinery will be an added advantage, although not mandatory.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth machine operations through effective preventive maintenance, timely breakdown resolution, and continuous improvement of equipment reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Ensure proper preventive and breakdown maintenance of all Injection Moulding machines and related equipment.

2. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults in machines, panels, drives, PLC systems, servo systems, heaters, sensors, and other electrical components.

3. Prepare and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimise machine downtime and improve machine availability.

4. Attend machine breakdowns quickly, identify root causes, and implement permanent corrective actions.

5. Maintain proper records of machine maintenance history, breakdown analysis, spare consumption, and preventive maintenance activities.

6. Coordinate with production teams to ensure minimum disruption during maintenance activities.

7. Monitor machine performance and suggest improvements for better efficiency, productivity, and energy savings.

8. Ensure proper maintenance of auxiliary equipment such as compressors, chillers, cooling systems, material handling systems, and other factory utilities.

9. Maintain critical electrical and mechanical spare parts inventory to avoid unnecessary downtime.

10. Support installation, commissioning, modification, and improvement activities for existing and new machinery.

11. Ensure compliance with safety standards while carrying out electrical and maintenance activities.

12. Work towards improving machine uptime, reducing repeated failures, and increasing overall plant efficiency.

Preferred Experience:

- Hands-on experience in Injection Moulding machine maintenance.

- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting.

- Experience with extrusion machinery will be preferred but is not mandatory.

- Knowledge of PLC, drives, servo systems, hydraulic systems, and factory utilities will be an added advantage.
