Job SummaryThe ENT Staff Nurse is responsible for providing safe, compassionate, and efficient nursing care to patients in the OPD, operation theatre, and inpatient ward. The nurse assists ENT surgeons during procedures, prepares patients for surgery, monitors recovery, and ensures adherence to infection control and patient safety standards.

• Key ResponsibilitiesOPDAssess patients and record vital signs.
• Prepare patients for ENT examination and procedures.
• Assist doctors during endoscopy, ear cleaning, nasal packing, foreign body removal, and other minor procedures.
• Educate patients regarding medications and follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation.
• Operation TheatrePrepare the OT before surgery.
• Check surgical instruments, equipment, and consumables.
• Assist the surgeon during ENT surgeries.
• Maintain strict aseptic techniques.
• Count instruments, needles, and swabs before and after surgery.
• Coordinate with the anesthesia team.
• WardMonitor post-operative patients.
• Administer medications as prescribed.
• Observe for complications such as bleeding, airway obstruction, or infection.
• Maintain IV lines, dressings, and drains.
• Educate patients and attendants before discharge.
• Infection ControlFollow hand hygiene protocols.
• Sterilize and handle ENT instruments correctly.
• Dispose of biomedical waste according to hospital policy.
• Report any infection control concerns immediately.
• DocumentationMaintain nursing notes and medication records.
• Complete admission, discharge, and procedure documentation.
• Report incidents promptly.
• Patient CareTreat every patient with empathy and respect.

• Required QualificationsGNM or B.Sc. Nursing
• Valid Nursing Council registration
• Freshers or experienced nurses may apply
• ENT or OT experience preferred
