Staff Nurse

Assessment: Check and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, oxygen levels) and monitor patient condition.

Medication Administration:Safely give oral, intravenous (IV), intramuscular (IM), and topical medications as prescribed by physicians.

Wound & Hygiene Care: Dress wounds, manage incisions, insert catheters, and assist patients with personal hygiene, mobility, and feeding.

Emergency Response: Recognize sudden changes in patient clinical status and initiate immediate life-saving interventions or code protocols.

Patient Charting: Maintain accurate, real-time electronic health records (EHR) of treatments, medication logs, fluid intake/output, and behavioral observations.

*Shift Handovers: Provide structured, detailed updates to incoming nursing staff during shift changes to ensure continuity of care.

Doctor Collaboration:Accompany physicians during rounds, communicate changes in patient status, and clarify medical orders.

NABH / Regulatory Compliance:Adhere strictly to hospital quality standards, infection control protocols, and patient safety goals (like proper patient identification and biomedical waste management).

Inventory Management: Track and maintain station stock, ensuring essential medicines, emergency carts, and sterile supplies are fully loaded and unexpired.

Admission & Discharge:Manage the clinical paperwork for patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.

Health Education:Explain medical procedures, post-discharge medication schedules, and dietary restrictions to patients and their caregivers.

Emotional Support:Provide compassionate, empathetic care to alleviate anxiety for both patients and family members during

hospital stays.
