Product Merchandiser

Job

Purpose

Own the buying and merchandising of fabrics and consumables for customised curtains - from trend understanding and vendor sourcing to converting confirmed orders into estimates and purchase orders, and using product performance data to guide what D'Moksha buys and stocks.

Key

Responsibilities

•     Track fabric, colour and design trends (Indian and global) and translate them into buying decisions - what to add, phase out or reposition.

•     Act as single point of contact for fabric, lining, hardware and consumable vendors - sourcing, pricing, samples and delivery follow-up.

•     Enhance the curtain product over time by applying trend and customer-feedback learnings - new pleats, linings, embellishments, fabric pairings.

•     Prepare fabric/consumable estimates against confirmed orders and raise purchase orders with vendors; track PO to delivery.

•     Analyse product and collection performance (best-sellers, slow movers, margins) to guide buying and re-order decisions.

•     Support stores and stylists with the right fabric/product selection for a given customer brief and budget.

•     Maintain the fabric catalogue, price lists and order tracker in an up-to-date format.

Skills

& Qualifications

•     Strong interest in fabric, textiles and design trends.

•     Comfortable with numbers - estimates, costing, basic variance checks - and working knowledge of Excel.

•     Organised, detail-oriented, and able to negotiate and follow up with vendors professionally.

•     Graduate in any discipline; textiles/fashion/interior design/merchandising background is a plus. 0-3 years' experience.
