Senior Accountant

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage accounting, taxation, audit support, financial reporting, and client compliance activities. The ideal candidate should possess strong accounting knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and experience working in a CA firm environment.

• Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & BookkeepingMaintain and review clients' books of accounts.
• Prepare journal entries, ledgers, trial balances, and financial statements.
• Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
• Reconcile bank accounts, receivables, payables, and general ledger accounts.
• Financial ReportingPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements as per applicable accounting standards.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to clients.
• TaxationPrepare and review GST returns, TDS returns, and other statutory filings.
• Assist in Income Tax return preparation and filing.
• Handle tax assessments, notices, and departmental correspondence.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable tax regulations.
• Audit & AssuranceSupport statutory, tax, internal, and GST audits.
• Prepare audit schedules and working papers.
• Coordinate with clients and auditors for required information and documentation.
• Assist in identifying compliance risks and control weaknesses.
• Compliance ManagementMonitor statutory compliance deadlines.
• Ensure timely filing of regulatory returns and reports.
• Maintain compliance records and documentation.
• Client ManagementAct as a primary point of contact for assigned clients.
• Address client queries related to accounting, taxation, and compliance matters.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Team LeadershipSupervise and guide junior accountants and trainees.
• Review work completed by team members.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior staff.
• Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com/M.Com).
• Chartered Accountant (CA) or CA Inter preferred.
• Professional certifications in accounting or taxation will be an advantage.
• Experience4–8 years of experience in accounting, taxation, and audit, preferably in a CA firm.
• Experience with multiple client accounts and compliance management.
• Technical SkillsProficiency in TallyPrime, Busy Accounting Software, and Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of GST, Income Tax, TDS, and ROC compliances.
• Familiarity with accounting standards and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience using accounting and ERP systems.
