Card Tech - Echo/TMT/ECG

Patient Care and Preparation:

• Explain procedures to patients and answer questions to help reduce anxiety. 
• Prepare patients for tests, including positioning and attaching electrodes or 
• other monitoring devices. 
• Monitor the patient's vital signs (e.g., heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation) before, during, and after procedures. 

Diagnostic Testing and Operation: 

• Electrocardiograms (EKGs/ECGs): Record the electrical activity of the heart. 
• Stress Tests: Monitor heart function while the patient exercises (e.g., on a treadmill). 
• Holter/Ambulatory Monitoring: Apply and remove portable devices for continuous heart rhythm monitoring over extended periods. 
• Echocardiograms (Echo): Use ultrasound to create images of the heart's chambers, valves, and blood flow (often a specialty known as Cardiac Sonography). 

Data Analysis and Documentation: 

• Review and analyze test data for quality and accuracy. 
• Document test results, findings, and patient information accurately in medical records 
• Provide preliminary reports of test findings for the physician's interpretation. 

Equipment Management: 

• Maintain, clean, calibrate, and troubleshoot diagnostic equipment (EKG machines, ultrasound systems, monitors). 
• Manage and restock necessary supplies.
