Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Client consultation: Meet with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budget.
- Space planning: Analyze available space, traffic flow, and functionality.
- Design development: Create sketches, mood boards, and CAD drawings to visualize concepts.
- Material sourcing: Select furniture, fabrics, lighting, and finishes that align with the design vision.
- Project management: Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and architects to ensure timely and cost-effective execution.
- Budgeting: Estimate costs, set project fees, and ensure financial efficiency.
- Compliance: Ensure designs meet safety standards and building regulations.
- Supervision: Oversee installation and finishing touches to deliver the final design.
Essential Skills:
- Creativity and imagination for innovative designs.
- Technical proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, Illustrator, or similar tools.
- Communication skills to collaborate with clients and contractors.
- Project management for handling timelines and budgets.
- Knowledge of materials, lighting, and color theory.
