Job Description
The GNM Staff Nurse is responsible for providing quality nursing care to patients, administering medications and treatments, monitoring patient conditions, assisting doctors during procedures, and ensuring patient safety and comfort. The nurse maintains accurate documentation and follows hospital protocols and infection control practices.
- Key ResponsibilitiesPatient CareAssess patients' health status and monitor vital signs.
- Provide direct nursing care according to physician orders and nursing protocols.
- Administer medications, injections, IV fluids, and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor patients' progress and promptly report changes in condition to the medical team.
- Assist patients with daily activities and personal care as needed.
- Clinical SupportAssist doctors during examinations, procedures, and emergencies.
- Prepare patients for diagnostic tests, surgeries, and treatments.
- Collect blood samples and other specimens as required.
- Maintain and operate medical equipment safely.
Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM).
Valid registration with the State Nursing Council.
