Job Description
Job Title: AutoCAD Sheet Metal Designer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled AutoCAD Sheet Metal Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have experience creating detailed sheet metal fabrication drawings using AutoCAD and a strong understanding of manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare 2D sheet metal fabrication drawings using AutoCAD.
- Create detailed part, assembly, and production drawings.
- Develop flat patterns and bending details.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate with production and quality teams.
- Revise drawings based on engineering and customer requirements.
- Maintain drawing standards and documentation.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of sheet metal design, fabrication, bending, and welding.
- Ability to read technical drawings and GD&T (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with SolidWorks, Inventor, or other CAD software.
- Knowledge of laser cutting, CNC punching, and press brake operations.
- Familiarity with manufacturing and fabrication standards.
