CNC Machine Operator

Role & responsibilities Machine Operation

•Operate production machines efficiently as per production targets and process requirements.

•Set up machines before production runs, including tooling, calibration, and adjustments.

•Monitor machine performance during operation and ensure smooth functioning.

•Maintain proper machine parameters to achieve quality output.

Production & Quality Control

•Ensure production is completed within the planned timeline.

•Inspect finished products/components for quality and accuracy.

•Identify defects, deviations, or machine abnormalities and take corrective action.

•Minimize rejection, wastage, and downtime during production.

Preventive Maintenance

•Perform routine machine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance activities.

•Report breakdowns or major technical issues to the maintenance team immediately.

•Assist maintenance technicians during repairs and troubleshooting.

Safety & Compliance

•Follow all workplace safety procedures and company policies.

•Use PPE and maintain a safe working environment.

•Ensure machines are operated according to SOPs and safety guidelines.

Documentation & Reporting

•Maintain production logs, machine reports, and shift records.

•Record downtime, rejection data, and machine performance details.

•Coordinate with supervisors regarding daily production status.

Team Coordination

•Work closely with production, quality, and maintenance teams.

•Support junior operators/helpers when required.

•Participate in shift handovers and communicate operational updates clearly.

Required Skills

•Good knowledge of machine operations and production processes.

•Ability to read basic engineering drawings/work instructions.

•Knowledge of quality inspection tools and measuring instruments.

•Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

•Understanding of safety standards in manufacturing environments.

•Ability to work in rotational shifts.
