Compensation: ₹4,000 – ₹25,000 per project (depending on project scope, site location, complexity, and duration)

We are expanding our field engineering network and are looking for experienced Freelance Data Center Thermal Audit Engineers to execute audits across Mumbai and surrounding regions.

Job ResponsibilitiesAs a Thermal Audit Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Visiting client data center sites independently.
• Conducting complete thermal audits using company-provided instruments.
• Performing thermal imaging and environmental data collection.
• Identifying hotspots, airflow issues, cooling inefficiencies, and thermal anomalies.
• Assessing cooling infrastructure including CRAC/CRAH units, aisle containment, airflow management, and rack temperatures.
• Recording accurate observations, measurements, and photographic evidence.
• Preparing comprehensive audit reports using the company's standard reporting format.
• Uploading collected data, thermal images, and completed reports within the specified timeline.
• Maintaining professionalism and confidentiality while working at client facilities.
• Required Qualifications & ExperienceMandatory RequirementsProven hands-on experience in Data Center Thermal Audits.
• Ability to independently perform complete thermal audits from site inspection to report submission.
• Strong understanding of:

• Willingness to travel for field assignments.
• PreferredMechanical Engineering / HVAC Engineering degree or diploma.
• Experience working in mission-critical data center environments.
• Knowledge of ASHRAE thermal guidelines.
• Familiarity with CFD concepts is an added advantage.

Equipment ProvidedFrostVault India Pvt. Ltd. will provide all required audit equipment, including:

• Thermal Camera
• Environmental Monitoring Instruments
• Temperature & Humidity Measuring Devices
• Audit Templates
• Standard Reporting Formats
• Other required audit tools
• Compensation₹4,000 – ₹25,000 per project.
• Approximately 4–5 projects per month.
• Payment varies based on project complexity, duration, and travel requirements.

Travel & Expense PolicyPlease read carefully before applying:

• This is a field-based freelance role.
• The engineer is responsible for arranging their own transportation to and from project sites.
• Travel expenses are to be borne by the freelancer unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• Food, accommodation (if applicable), and personal expenses are the responsibility of the freelancer.
• FrostVault India Pvt. Ltd. does not provide insurance or compensation for travel-related accidents, injuries, delays, vehicle damage, theft, or any other incident occurring during travel.
• No travel reimbursement or travel-related claims will be accepted unless pre-approved in writing.
