About the Role:

We are looking for a highly adaptable Robotics Engineering intern to act as the vital bridge between mechanical structures and electrical logic for our incubated startups. You will be the execution engine for mechatronics and automation—translating abstract founder ideas into moving, sensing, intelligent hardware. We value exploratory, real-world application over theoretical textbook exercises. If you prefer running pure software simulations without ever wrenching on a physical drivetrain, this is not the role for you.

What You'll Do (The Prototyping Workflow):

• Requirements Sync: Intake kinematic, spatial, and functional requirements from founders and the technical team.

• System Architecture: Map out the integration bridge between mechanical chassis constraints and electrical power/logic systems.

• Sensor & Actuator Integration: Select and wire necessary servos, stepper motors, and sensor arrays (LiDAR, IMU, Vision).

• Mechatronic Assembly: Physically mount and secure all robotic components, ensuring proper cable management and structural clearance.

• Kinematic Programming: Write and tune control loops (PID) and autonomous logic to make the hardware move exactly as intended.

• Real-World Testing: Aggressively field-test robotic units, debugging hardware-software handshake issues, and iterating based on physical performance limits.

Required Technical Arsenal & Skills:

• Core Software Mastery: Fluency in ROS (Robot Operating System) and core programming languages (Python/C++).

• Simulation & Control: Experience with simulation environments (Gazebo, Webots) and translating those simulations into physical kinematic control.

• Workshop Skills: Hands-on capability to assemble mechatronic systems, solder sensor connections, and rapidly troubleshoot moving chassis components.

• Mindset: A builder who takes pride in seamless hardware-software integration, possesses extreme adaptability to tackle untested automated challenges, and can smoothly pivot control logic when product directions change overnight.
