Job Description
We are a fast-growing Indian footwear manufacturer with a vision to build one of the country’s most respected and professionally managed footwear brands.
Our focus is on creating a strong nationwide distribution network backed by world-class manufacturing, technology-driven operations, and long-term partnerships.
As we enter our next phase of growth, we are looking for an experienced sales leader who can build markets, develop people, establish systems, and create a high-performing distribution organization.
The Opportunity
This is not a conventional sales job.
We are looking for someone who can build a distribution engine that can scale across multiple states while creating a disciplined sales culture rooted in execution, accountability, and long-term relationships.
You will work directly with the Founders to define sales strategy, recruit and mentor regional teams, appoint distributors, expand market reach, and build sustainable growth.
Primary Responsibility
Build, lead, and scale a professional footwear distribution network across:
- Andhra Pradesh
- Telangana
- Karnataka
- Maharashtra
- Odisha
- Goa
while ensuring profitable growth, strong distributor relationships, disciplined execution, and alignment with the company’s vision, values, and long-term strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Business Expansion
- Develop and execute the sales strategy for assigned territories.
- Identify and appoint high-quality distributors.
- Expand into new cities, districts, and untapped markets.
- Build a sustainable dealer and retailer network.
- Increase market penetration and brand visibility.
Distribution Development
- Recruit, evaluate, and onboard distributors.
- Define distributor investment expectations and territory plans.
- Monitor distributor performance and profitability.
- Develop long-term channel partnerships.
- Resolve channel conflicts professionally.
Team Building
- Recruit and develop Territory Sales Managers, Area Sales Managers, and Sales Officers.
- Build a performance-driven sales culture.
- Train teams on sales processes, reporting, and market execution.
- Conduct regular coaching and field visits.
Market Execution
- Drive retailer expansion.
- Improve product availability and visibility.
- Execute new product launches.
- Monitor competitor activity.
- Gather market intelligence.
- Ensure merchandising standards.
Sales Management
- Achieve revenue and volume targets.
- Drive secondary sales growth.
- Improve billing productivity.
- Increase outlet coverage.
- Manage sales forecasting and territory planning.

Leadership
- Work closely with the Founders on strategic planning.
- Participate in annual business planning.
- Recommend new market opportunities.
- Build systems and SOPs for the sales organization.
- Foster a culture of ownership, integrity, and continuous improvement.
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a leader who has successfully built distribution businesses—not just managed existing accounts.
The ideal candidate should have:
- 10–18 years of sales experience in the footwear, FMCG, apparel, or consumer durable industry.
- Proven experience in building multi-state distribution networks.
- Strong relationships with distributors and channel partners.
- Experience managing large field sales teams.
- A track record of delivering profitable growth.
- Strong leadership and people development skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively.
