Staff Nurse

We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and experienced Senior Nurse to join our Old-Age Home team. This role requires a balance of high-quality clinical care for elderly residents and effective leadership to manage our team of caregivers and junior staff. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of geriatric care and a patient, empathetic nature.

Key Responsibilities

Geriatric & Clinical Care:

Monitor and record vital signs (BP, blood sugar, heart rate) of elderly residents daily.

Administer medications, injections, and IV fluids accurately and on time.

Provide specialized care for age-related conditions such as Dementia, Alzheimer’s, Arthritis, and mobility issues.

Respond swiftly and efficiently to medical emergencies or sudden illnesses.

Staff Management & Leadership:

Supervise, guide, and manage junior nurses, ward boys, and bedside caregivers.

Create duty rosters, allocate shifts, and ensure proper staff attendance.

Train caregivers on proper patient handling, hygiene maintenance, and safety protocols.

Documentation & Coordination:

Maintain detailed and updated medical records and history charts for each resident.

Coordinate with visiting doctors, physiotherapists, and emergency medical services.

Provide regular and empathetic health updates to the residents’ family members.
