Business Development Manager (BDM)

Job Title: Payment Association Business Development (BD) Specialist

Location: Mumbai

Travel Requirement: Requires travel to major cities such as Kolkata, Delhi, etc., as per business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Channel Management: Exclusively manage, track, and optimize the company's existing payment channels to ensure high operational efficiency and stability.

Partner Relationship Maintenance: Build and nurture strong strategic relationships with local payment gateways, acquiring banks, third-party payment platforms, and financial institutions.

Commercial Negotiation & Integration: Actively acquire new payment partners, lead negotiations on commercial terms, pricing optimization, and SLAs, while collaborating with internal technical teams to ensure smooth channel integration.

Market Research & Operational Support: Continuously monitor the Indian payment ecosystem (e.g., UPI, local wallets) and track the daily performance of payment channels to proactively resolve operational issues.

Qualifications:

Industry Experience: Proven experience working in a Business Development or Channel Management role within a payment channel company, payment aggregator, or bank is strictly required.

Travel Willingness: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and willingness to travel to major Indian cities like Kolkata and Delhi as required by the business.

Core Competencies: Excellent commercial negotiation skills, cross-functional communication abilities, and strong market acumen.

Professional Knowledge: Deep understanding of the local Indian payment landscape and financial compliance requirements is highly preferred.
