Job Description
A Sales Leader (or Sales Team Lead/Manager) is responsible for driving revenue growth by leading, mentoring, and managing a team of sales representatives to meet or exceed quotas. Key duties include developing sales strategies, hiring and training staff, tracking performance metrics, and optimizing the sales pipeline. [1, 2, 3, 4]
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Mentoring: Coaching sales representatives on techniques, conducting training sessions, and providing constructive feedback to improve performance.
- Performance Management: Setting sales quotas, KPIs, and monitoring daily/monthly performance reports to ensure targets are met.
Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing actionable sales strategies to expand the customer base and increase market share.
Sales Operations & Reporting: Managing the CRM, forecasting sales, and reporting results to senior management.
Customer & Relationship Management: Building high-level relationships with key accounts and resolving escalated customer complaints.
