Job Summary

The Lift Sales Engineer is responsible for generating new business opportunities, developing strong customer relationships, and achieving sales targets for elevators, escalators, and related products and services. The role requires understanding customer requirements, preparing technical and commercial proposals, negotiating contracts, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure successful project execution.


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional sectors.
  • Meet architects, builders, developers, consultants, contractors, and end customers to promote the company's lift and elevator solutions.
  • Conduct site visits to understand customer requirements and assess project feasibility.
  • Recommend suitable lift solutions based on building specifications, traffic analysis, and customer needs.
  • Prepare technical and commercial quotations, proposals, and tender submissions.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to successfully close sales.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and provide regular sales forecasts.
  • Coordinate with engineering, design, installation, and project teams for smooth order execution.
  • Follow up on customer inquiries, quotations, and pending orders.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction before and after project completion.
  • Maintain accurate records in the CRM system and prepare regular sales reports.
  • Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and customer requirements to identify new business opportunities.
  • Participate in exhibitions, networking events, and promotional activities as required.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in lift/elevator sales or technical sales. Fresh graduates with strong technical aptitude may also be considered.


Required Skills

  • Strong technical understanding of elevators, escalators, and vertical transportation systems.
  • Excellent sales, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to read architectural drawings and technical specifications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer-focused with excellent relationship management abilities.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Working Conditions

  • Frequent local travel for customer meetings and site visits.

  • Established relationships with builders, architects, consultants, and contractors.
  • Knowledge of relevant lift safety standards and local regulations.
