Job Description

Reporting ToWellness Head / Medical Director / General Manager

Job SummaryThe Ayurvedic Doctor is responsible for providing holistic consultations, diagnosing patients according to Ayurvedic principles, prescribing personalized treatment plans, supervising therapies, promoting preventive healthcare, and ensuring high standards of patient care and documentation.

  • Key Responsibilities1. Patient ConsultationConduct detailed patient assessments (Prakriti & Vikriti analysis).
  • Review medical history and lifestyle.
  • Diagnose health conditions using Ayurvedic principles.
  • Explain treatment plans and expected outcomes.
  • 2. Treatment PlanningPrescribe Ayurvedic medicines and supplements.
  • Recommend Panchakarma therapies where appropriate.
  • Create personalized diet (Aahar) and lifestyle (Vihar) plans.
  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans.
  • 3. Wellness TherapiesSupervise Ayurvedic therapists.
  • Guide therapies such as:
  • Abhyanga
  • Shirodhara
  • Kati Basti
  • Janu Basti
  • Nasya
  • Pizhichil
  • Udwartana
  • Herbal Steam Therapy
  • Ensure therapy protocols are followed correctly.
  • 4. Preventive HealthcareConduct wellness check-ups.
  • Educate patients on:
  • Immunity enhancement
  • Stress management
  • Weight management
  • Sleep improvement
  • Detoxification
  • Healthy lifestyle practices
  • 5. Clinical DocumentationMaintain patient records.
  • Document prescriptions and treatment notes.
  • Ensure informed consent where required.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  • 6. CoordinationWork closely with:
  • Nutritionists
  • Physiotherapists
  • Beauty & Wellness Therapists
  • Dermatologists
  • Cosmetic Physicians
  • Refer patients when multidisciplinary care is needed.
  • 7. Patient CounselingExplain treatment duration and expected results.
  • Counsel patients on medicine compliance.
  • Address patient queries and concerns.
  • 8. Business DevelopmentPromote wellness packages.
  • Cross-refer patients for:
  • Weight Management
  • Detox Programs
  • Hair & Skin Wellness
  • Yoga & Lifestyle Programs
  • Conduct health camps and corporate wellness sessions.
  • 9. TrainingTrain therapists in Ayurvedic protocols.
  • Conduct regular clinical and product knowledge sessions.
  • Ensure adherence to SOPs.
  • 10. ComplianceFollow clinic SOPs and infection control protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare regulations.
  • Maintain hygiene and quality standard
