Accountant

The Accountant manages day-to-day financial transactions and ensures accurate, timely reporting in compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations. You will handle general ledger activities, reconciliations, closings, and statutory filings, and provide clear insights on the company’s financial position, liquidity, and cash flows.

• Key ResponsibilitiesManage end-to-end accounting transactions and maintain the general ledger.
• Prepare and publish timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Perform account reconciliations (bank, AR, AP, payroll, intercompany) and resolve discrepancies.
• Handle month-end and year-end close processes, including journals, accruals, and adjustments.
• Develop and maintain schedules for balance sheet accounts and fixed assets.
• Prepare budgets/forecasts and track performance against plan; analyze variances.
• Process and review invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments; ensure proper coding and approvals.
• Ensure accurate and timely billing, cash application, and collections support.
• Compute, file, and reconcile taxes as applicable (e.g., sales/use, VAT/GST, payroll, corporate income tax).
• Support audits (external/internal); compile workpapers and respond to auditor requests.
• Maintain compliance with GAAP/IFRS and internal policies; strengthen internal controls.
• Generate ad hoc financial analyses and management reports to support decision-making.
• Safeguard financial data confidentiality and perform routine data backups.
