Job Description (JD) – Sales Executive / Gallery Sales ConsultantCompany: Sahaj Art Gallery

Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat

Employment Type: Full-Time

Position OverviewSahaj Art Gallery is seeking a dynamic, customer-focused, and results-driven Sales Executive to promote and sell artworks, develop client relationships, and support gallery growth. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, a passion for art and design, and the ability to engage with collectors, architects, interior designers, corporate clients, and walk-in visitors. Gallery sales roles typically focus on client relationship building, artwork presentation, lead generation, event participation, and achieving sales targets. 

  • Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business DevelopmentPromote and sell paintings, sculptures, and other artworks.
  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Generate leads through networking, referrals, social media, architects, interior designers, and corporate clients.
  • Conduct client meetings, presentations, and artwork consultations.
  • Maintain a strong sales pipeline and follow up on inquiries.
  • Client Relationship ManagementBuild and maintain long-term relationships with collectors, art buyers, architects, and HNI clients.
  • Provide personalized artwork recommendations based on client preferences.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve concerns professionally.
  • Maintain customer records and CRM database.
  • Gallery OperationsWelcome and assist gallery visitors.
  • Maintain knowledge of artists, artworks, pricing, and exhibitions.
  • Support exhibition setup, openings, and gallery events.
  • Assist in inventory management and artwork documentation. Gallery sales professionals often support exhibitions, inventory records, and client coordination activities. 
  • Marketing & PromotionPromote exhibitions and gallery events through calls, emails, and social media.
  • Coordinate with the marketing team for campaigns and promotions.
  • Develop partnerships with architects, interior designers, hotels, and corporate offices.
  • Participate in art fairs, exhibitions, and networking events. 
  • ReportingPrepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
  • Track customer interactions and sales performance.
  • Provide market feedback and competitor insights.
  • Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Fine Arts, Interior Design, or related field.
  • 1–5 years of experience in sales, luxury retail, art galleries, interior products, architecture products, or premium customer service.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong negotiation and closing abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
  • Ability to work on weekends and during exhibitions/events if required. 
  • Preferred SkillsKnowledge of contemporary art and art market trends.
  • Experience dealing with HNI/UHNI clients.
  • Relationship-building and networking abilities.
  • Self-motivated, target-oriented, and professional appearance.
  • Social media and digital marketing knowledge.
