Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and technically skilled Sales Engineer to promote and sell pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical process equipment, including sterile vessels, pressure vessels, filtration skids, CIP/SIP systems and formulation equipment. This role combines technical expertise with sales acumen to deliver customized solutions, build strong client relationships and drive business growth while ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell process equipment to pharmaceutical, biopharma companies, consultants and EPC firms
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the assigned territory
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and key decision-makers
  • Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations and solution-based discussions
  • Understand client URS (User Requirement Specification) and convert requirements into suitable technical solutions
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to develop customized proposals
  • Prepare techno-commercial offers, cost estimations, quotations and tender submissions
  • Manage client negotiations, follow-ups and order finalization
  • Coordinate with design, engineering, project, manufacturing and execution teams to ensure timely delivery
  • Participate in client meetings, technical discussions and presentations
  • Support discussions on P&ID, GA drawings and technical documentation with clients
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities and evolving customer needs
  • Maintain CRM, sales pipeline and accurate reporting of activities
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, quality standards and company policies
  • Attend exhibitions, seminars, conferences and networking events
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business
  • Provide technical support to project teams during order execution and clarifications


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology or a related field
  • 2–5 years of experience in pharma/biopharma equipment sales, application engineering or similar roles
  • Strong technical understanding of pharmaceutical process equipment, pressure vessels and skid-based systems
  • Ability to read and interpret P&ID, GA drawings, engineering drawings, datasheets and specifications
  • Good communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in proposal writing, documentation and professional correspondence
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and sales pipeline management
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage assigned territory


Preferred Skills

  • Exposure to sterile systems, GMP-compliant equipment or biopharma applications
  • Strong analytical and technical problem-solving abilities
  • Effective presentation and client engagement skills
  • Basic understanding of regulatory standards such as GMP, FDA, etc.
