Job Description
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Passive Networking & Cabling Engineer to install, maintain, and troubleshoot structured cabling systems for LAN, WAN, and data center environments. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with CAT6/CAT6A cabling, fiber optic installation, rack dressing, patch panel termination, and network infrastructure deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, terminate, test, and maintain CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6A, and Fiber Optic cabling.
- Perform structured cabling for office networks, server rooms, and data centers.
- Install and configure network racks, patch panels, cable managers, and faceplates.
- Carry out cable routing, labeling, dressing, and documentation as per industry standards.
- Test network cabling using cable testers and certify cable performance.
- Install and mount network devices such as switches, routers, wireless access points, IP phones, and CCTV cameras.
- Perform fiber splicing, termination, and testing (preferred).
- Troubleshoot and resolve network cabling issues efficiently.
- Coordinate with customers and internal teams during project execution.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and project timelines.
- Prepare installation reports and maintain documentation.
